June A. Dix Allen, 65, of Starlight, PA, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at home. She was born on March 14, 1951 in Hancock, NY, the daughter of Olan and Esther (Wayman) Dix. June married Elbert G. Allen Sr. on December 31, 1998 and he predeceased her on May 20, 2016. She was a lifelong member of the Buckingham Baptist Church, Starlight, PA. June was a caregiver for many years to her special Aunt Eva (Dix) Wayman.Surviving are 2 beloved sons, Thomas Jr. and wife Becky Gately, Louisville, KY, and Greg and wife Jessica Gately, Starlight, PA, 4 grandchildren, Lucas, Lucy, Henry, and Thomas, 1 sister, Dianne Wolff, and 1 brother, Gerald Dix. She is also survived by 6 step children, Gregory Allen, Andrew Allen, Jeffrey Allen, Sarah Tepley, Kevin Allen, and Elbert Allen Jr. and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, 2 brothers, Richard and Anthony Dix, and 3 nieces, Tauna Dix, Angela LeRoy, and Shannon Dix. There will be 1 hour for visitation on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 1-2PM with a funeral service following at 2PM all at the Buckingham Baptist Church, Starlight, PA.
