June M. Shofkom, 87, of Apex, Hancock, NY, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Elizabeth Church Manor, Binghamton, NY. She was born on June 16, 1935 in Apex, NY, the daughter of Guy and Hazel (Dury) Laraway. She married James Elmer Shofkom on February 19, 1955 in Binghamton, NY, and he predeceased her on June 22, 2016.

June graduated from Hancock Central School in 1952. She worked as a secretary at Bard Parker for 24 years.

Surviving are 3 sons: Mark and wife Deborah, James and wife Alison, and Thomas; 4 grandchildren, Michael (Tara), Jennifer (Karl), Brian (Marci), and Shawna; and 3 great grandchildren: Valerie, Nolan, and Piper.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 10AM-12PM with a funeral following at 12PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock.
