Karen Esolen-Baldwin, 58, of Starlight, PA, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 at The Gardens at Scranton Nursing Home, Scranton, PA. She was born on November 21, 1964 in Hancock, NY, the daughter of Michael and Bonnie (Ruff) Esolen. Karen married Sidney Baldwin Jr. on September 29, 1990 in Equinunk, PA. She was a bus driver for a number of years before her health declined. She had a habit of always searching for four leaf clovers in her back yard. She loved reading and was so excited to have grandchildren. Karen was always there when someone needed to talk and was motherly to everyone in her life. Surviving are her husband, Pip Baldwin; 2 children, Anthony (McKenzie Pollard) and Anastasia Dunlap (Damian Burrows); 4 grandchildren: Joshua and Paeton Dunlap, Ryder Desonia, and Finley Baldwin; 2 grandchildren on the way; stepdaughter, Elieen Stark (Nate); and several nieces and nephews. Karen was predeceased by her parents; her father and mother in law, Sidney Sr. and Velma Baldwin; and 2 brothers, Kenneth and Karl Esolen. Karens wishes were for cremation and a celebration and burial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Karens name can be made to Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, 29 E.
