Karl E. Schrier, 87, of Hancock, NY, died on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Wilson Medical Center after an unexpected brief illness. He was born in Hancock, NY, on the family farm, on June 26, 1936, the son of Karl I. and Athelia (Allen) Schrier.

Karl loved the woods and loved being outside on his tractor. He always kept busy with whatever work that needed doing.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Karen (Floyd) Whiting and Karleen Darder; 3 grandchildren: Mario Darder IV, Katelyn (James) Littleton, and Cameron Darder; 3 great granddaughters: Charlotte, Ellie, and Aurora; and several nieces and nephews. Karl was predeceased by his son, Kenneth Schrier; great grandson, Mario Darder V; and siblings: Emma Earl, Ronald Schrier, and Diane Caruso.

A private burial will be held in Gould Cemetery, Goulds, NY.
