Obituary

Kathryn M. Kellam, 89, of Starlight, PA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY, after a short illness. She was born on July 5, 1930 in Hancock, NY, the daughter of Clarence and Esther Quick. Kay graduated from Hancock Central School in 1950. She married Leslie A. Kellam on April 4, 1952 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cadosia, NY. Kay and Les spent their life and raised their 3 children in Starlight, PA. She took much pride in being a housewife and kept an immaculate and organized home. She was a lifelong member and of the Calvary Baptist Church and attended religiously. Les predeceased her on March 8, 2017 and Kay spent the last 2 years of her life with her granddaughter, Jade, in Hancock. Kay enjoyed old country western music and spending time with her family. She loved her sweets and she will be remembered for all the cards she sent over the years to so many people and her funny sayings. Surviving are 3 children, Mark and wife Shirley, Marilyn Kellam, and Leslie Kellam, 2 grand daughters, Jade Mason and significant other, Jonathan Parise and Aspyn Taylor, and 2 great grandchildren, who were the lights of her life, Zoie and Nathan. She is also survived by a nephew, Dale and wife Ella Teeple, several great nieces and nephews, a lifelong special friend Olive Faigle, and her special kitty, Emily. Kay was predeceased by a sister and her husband, Barbara and Grant Teeple, a niece, Cindy Teeple Rowe, and a grandson in law, Ian Mason. Calling hours were held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 10AM-12PM and a funeral followed at 12PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Pastor David Norton officiated and interment followed in Galilee Cemetery, Galilee, PA. Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
