Kenneth M. Esolen, 50, of Hancock, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 at home. He was born on October 4, 1962 in Hancock, the son of Michael and Bonnie (Ruff) Esolen. Ken married Toby Swartwout on October 14, 1989 in Hancock. He was a proud 3rd Degree Mason in Hancock Lodge # 552 and a member of the Knights Hunting Club. Ken was a very skilled millwright spending his working years at Mallery Lumber in Hancock and most recently Hofer Log and Lumber in Callicoon. In his spare time, he had a passion for the great outdoors. His greatest accomplishment most recently was earning his GED at the age of 47. Surviving are his wife, Toby, 2 sons, Stephen and Thomas, father and stepmother, Michael and Sally, 1 sister, Karen and husband Sidney Baldwin, 1 brother, Karl, and a stepbrother, Lance and wife Laura Snyder. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his mother and both paternal and maternal grandparents. Ken's wishes were for cremation. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 4-6PM with a service following at 6PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Interment will be at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock.
