Kevin Clancy, 65, of Deposit, NY, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Mercy House of the Southern Tier, Endicott, NY. He was born on January 12, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, the beloved son of Frank and Margaret Clancy. Master Clancy graduated cum lauded for the University of Notre Dame. He taught physics, chemistry, and math at schools on Long Island and in Westchester. Kevin bought property in Deposit, NY, in 1992. In 1996-1997 he operated a business, Seven Pines, a combination Civil War, chess, and education store. He also taught many classes for the "Summer Fun" program, and worked at DCSI, as a supervisor in quality control. In recent years, Kevin published two books on Amazon Kindle- "Ten Intriguing Questions about the Civil War" and "Augustine's Life in Psalms". Kevin was the beloved cousin of Regina Dolan, Joanie Lukachinski, John and Holly O'Rourke, Donna Buckley, James and Jeffrey McCann, Kathy and Meg Campbell, and Thomas Campbell, who is deceased, beloved nephew of Catherine McCann and John O'Rourke, and beloved godfather of Timothy Clancy and Theresa Hinshaw. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Deposit, NY. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY.
