IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kevin A.
Ewain
July 3, 1961 – March 13, 2026
On Friday, March 13, 2026, Kevin Alan Ewain left this world on his own terms. He bravely confronted and fought Pulmonary Fibrosis. It took his breathing, but not his mind.
Kevin was born on Monday, July 03, 1961 to Walter and Marian Ewain (Rockefeller).
Kevin is survived by his loving wife Marian and their sons Kevin and Gabriel. Along with a very special girl, Aubree. Kevin was greatly devoted to them.
Kevin grew up in his hometown where he attended Hancock Central School. That is where he met his wife Marian. On May 21, 1991 they were married with their boys as their witnesses.
Kevin's kindness, generosity, and sense of humor touched everyone who knew him. His friends and family will remember him as a man of great integrity and warmth.
He was an amazing self taught cook, loved classic rock, and loved burning firewood to keep their home warm. He was our go to when life got tough. Was quite a social person and gave the best hugs while leaving the scent of Brut cologne (for men with character) on you.
In May of 2022, Kevin retired from New York State as a Highway Maintenance Worker.
Kevin was preceded in death by both of his parents, a brother Randy Ewain and two sisters, Debbie Ewain and Patty Pappachia; sister-in-law, Deborah Burleson; and brother in laws, Derwood and Brian Wormuth
Kevin is survived by his sisters: Barbara (Harvey) Campbell, Donna (Eugene) Price, and Joan (Fred) Mead, along with brothers: Gary (Sylvia), James (Beth), Lawrence (BettyJo) and Joseph (Margaret); sister in laws, Darlene Taylor and April Roman; and mother in law, Nancy Gorshack.
His life, though not bound by blood to many, was rich by memories.
It was Kevin’s wish for cremation and no services.
Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
