Obituary

Kristie Rebecca Clark, 37, of Endicott, NY, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in Redfield, NY, after a snowmobile accident.She was born on April 11th, 1980 in Binghamton, NY, and grew up in Hancock, NY, with her parents, Ken and Karen and her sisters, Kim, Kellie and Kourtnie. At very young ages the four girls could be heard doing radio ads for Beaver Mountain Log Homes, the family business. She was also a part of the Emory Methodist Church family in Hancock. Kristie graduated from Hancock Central School in 1998. She then went on to attend SUNY Morrisville to receive her Associates Degree in Equine Science in 2000. As an avid member of the American Quarter Horse Association, she loved riding and showing her beloved quarter horses. In addition to her equine science degree, she also received a business degree from SUNY Broome. After graduating from Broome she started working for Beaver Mountain as an Administrative Assistant. This led her to Corning Inc. where she worked as an Administrator. After a few years in Corning she realized her heart was not in it and left to pursue a career working with animals, her passion! Kristie then took a leap of faith and adventured to Winter Park, Florida where she attended and graduated from the Florida Institute of Animal Arts in 2012. She returned to Upstate New York and jumped heart first into her passionate career as a pet groomer. This venture led her to her current job with "At Your Service" in Endwell, NY, where she worked closely with her very dear friends, Ellen and Corinne. She will be greatly missed by all of her furry client friends. As well as grooming animals and riding horses, Kristie also had a passion for other outdoor sports such as, stand up paddle boarding, four wheeling, jet skiing and snowmobiling. She truly was a spark in everyones lives, spreading light and laughter everywhere she went! She lived life to the absolute fullest, enjoying every moment and embracing the small things! Kristie, you will be forever with us all!Surviving are her parents, Ken and Karen, 3 sisters, Kim and husband Drew Prochazka, Kellie and husband Jeff White, and Kourtnie and boyfriend Evan Whitmore, her loving partner, Marty "Smarty" Palombo and his extended family, who all adored Kristie, 10 nieces and nephews, Colin, Teagan, Meghan, Kian, Griffin, Quinn, and Ellison Prochazka and Myles, Kobe, and Gavin White. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, Don and Anita Clark, maternal grandparents, Richard and Betty Swanson, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her 2 special fur baby cats, Ace and Diesel. A visitation to celebrate Kristie's life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018, from 4PM-7PM with a brief time of remembrance at 6PM at the Emory United Methodist Church, Hancock.
