On June 2, 2015, Lela A. (Maudsley) Ellicks,80, went to be with the Lord. She was born on June 17, 1934, the daughter of Ezra and Mary Maudsley. Lela graduated from Preston School in 1952, where she was active in band. She was also very active in her church, Northern Wayne Christian Fellowship, as their organist. Lela worked in the community on the Election Board and as a cafeteria worker at Preston Elementary School. She supplied many handmade afghans for the Northern Wayne Fireman's Afghan Bingo and Carnival. Plus, she helped organize the Preston School Alumni Reunion. Lela married William R. Ellicks and they were together for 63 years. Together, they had 2 children, William R. Jr., and Marilee. All survive, along with William Jr's wife, Barbara J. Ellicks.
