Leslie A. Kellam, 89, of Starlight, PA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. He was born on July 28, 1927 in Abrahamsville, PA, the son of Albert and Freida (Mitchell) Kellam. One of nine children, Les grew up on the family farm in the Equinunk, Wayne County, PA, area. In 1950, Les enlisted in the Army and served in Korea until his discharge in 1952 as Corporal. Upon returning home, he married his sweetheart, Kathryn Quick, nearly 65 years ago on April 4, 1952. He and Kathryn raised their 3 children in Starlight, PA and he retired from many years of driving truck in 1992. Les was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and cutting firewood. He was a devoted Christian and religiously attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Cadosia, NY. Surviving are his wife, Kay, 3 children, Mark and wife Shirley, Marilyn Kellam, and Leslie Kellam, 2 granddaughters, Jade Mason and Aspyn Taylor, and 1 great granddaughter, Zoie Lyn Mason. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Chester and wife Linda, Kenneth and wife Patty, and James and wife Millie, 1 sister, Joan and husband Bob Stanton, many nieces and nephews, and extended family. Les was predeceased by 3 brothers, Walter, Floyd, and Irvin, 1 sister, Norma Galloway, and a grandson in law, Ian Mason. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 5-8PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11AM also at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Galilee, PA.
