Obituary

Lewis Charles Ostrander, 40, of Endicott, NY, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 4, 2026 at home.

Lewis was born on September 24, 1985, in Walton, New York, to Kevin and JoAnn (Trowbridge) Ostrander. He was raised in Burnwood, New York, and attended Downsville Central School.

Lewis made his home in Endicott. Over the years, he took on a variety of hands-on jobs and was always willing to work hard and try new things. He had a natural artistic talent and could draw just about anything, and he also spent time working with iron, showing his creativity in many forms.

Life was not always easy for Lewis, his journey had many lows, but through it all, he remained full of laughter and warmth. He had an infectious sense of humor and a generous spirit, always ready to lend a hand or brighten someone’s day. Lewis was truly a people person who left an impression on everyone he met.

Above all, Lewis loved his children deeply. He was a devoted and playful father, the kind who spent his time riding bikes, carving pumpkins, dancing along to dance videos, playing video games, and making memories at the zoo, and many other family trips. Those moments will be cherished forever.

Lewis will be remembered for his kind heart, his contagious laugh, and the love he shared so freely.

He leaves behind the most devoted person in his life, Brianna Davis, along with his beloved children: Mattea Dufton, Octavian Rogers, Giana Everidge, Giuliana Everidge, Lincoln Davis, and Mitzi Davis, half sister Christa Kaufman, and many loving cousins.

Lewis was predeceased by his parents, Kevin and JoAnn Ostrander; his younger brother, Donald; his grandparents, Donald and Mabel Young, Wayne and Joan Edwards, and a very special aunt, Brenda Ostrander.

“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

Peace out. Love ya, man.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 2PM at Partridge Island Cemetery, Fishs Eddy, NY, to remember and inter Lewis along with his father, Kevin and brother, Donald.

Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
