In Loving Memory of Lorraine Katherine Reinholz

Born on July 25, 1962, Lorraine Katherine Reinholz entered the world as a beloved daughter of Mildred and George Reinholz, both of whom have since passed. She was part of a loving family, growing up alongside her siblings Diane Geiry and George Reinholz Jr., who have also preceded her in death. Diane shared her life with her ex-husband Robert Geiry, and together they raised Johnny, Jason, Candace, and Robbie. Lorraine also leaves behind her surviving brother Ronald Reinholz, his wife, and their three wonderful children: Danny, Evan, and Melody. Melody, now a mother herself, continues the family legacy.

Lorraine was married to Douglas Petoske for nearly 20 years. While their marriage faced ups and downs, one constant remained—their deep love and commitment to their daughter, Tanya Petoske. Together, they created cherished memories, from celebrating holidays and birthdays to family vacations, including multiple trips to Disneyland. Douglas, affectionately known as "the appliance man" or "Mr. Nice Man," has also passed on.

In 2005, Lorraine's heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her granddaughter, Annaliese Alvarez. She took immense pride in watching Annaliese grow into the remarkable young woman she is today.

Lorraine faced many challenges in her life, including a brave battle with COPD and chronic bronchitis. Despite her strength, the illness took a heavy toll, and in her final months, she endured significant weight loss and numerous hospital visits. In the face of these struggles, the family made the compassionate decision to honor her wishes for hospice care. Lorraine spent her final days in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by love and care. Her daughter Tanya and her dedicated caregiver, Pam, ensured Lorraine was never alone. Tanya holds the precious memory of spending an entire day with her mother before her peaceful passing close to her heart.

Lorraine left this world on her terms—peacefully in her sleep, in the sanctuary of her bed. She was a woman who had endured much but carried an enduring desire for happiness and peace, not just for herself but for everyone around her. She had an incredible gift for brightening the darkest of days, always finding a way to turn sorrow into hope and laughter.

Lorraine will be deeply missed by all who know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, a reminder of her enduring kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

"She just wanted everyone and everything to be happy and peaceful."
