Obituary

Lyndon Wormuth, 66, of Poyntelle, PA passed away peacefully Sunday, April 5, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 23, 1953, in Hancock, NY, to Howard and Georgeanna Wormuth. Lyndon graduated from Hancock Central School in 1971. Following graduation, he worked in logging before starting work at Celotex Corporation in Deposit, NY. He began his career as an electrical contractor for a company in Honesdale, PA. After learning the ropes, he ventured out to start his own electrical contracting company, Wormuth Electric. As adults, his sons worked alongside him in Wormuth Electric until it was later renamed ALL Electric when they became co-owners. After decades of owning his own electrical contracting company, he turned over the reins to his sons, but remained an invaluable resource. Throughout his years as an electrical contractor, Lyndon served as a certified building code official for several townships. Lyndon married Marie Roney on April 29, 1977. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, playing cards, and square dancing with his late wife. He was actively involved in the Lake Como United Methodist Church, Northern Wayne Library, and anything else his wife volunteered him for. Many will remember Lyndons years of mentoring the local children as a baseball and football coach. He also served as a high school baseball umpire for several years. Surviving are his 2 sons, Lee (Joanne) and Aaron (Megan), 1 granddaughter, Amy (Patrick) Quinlan, 3 grandsons, Daniel (Lindsey) Partington, Chael and Connor Wormuth, 2 great granddaughters, Natalie and Anna Quinlan, and 1 great grandson Carter Partington. He is also survived by his sisters, Juanita Macknik, Jean Whitmore (Nelson), Barbara Zupa (John), Robin Ignatovich (Paul), and brothers, Ronald (Barbara), Raymond (Marilynn), Gerald (Mary), Maurice (Sherry), Russell, Charles (Sarah), Kevin (Judy), and Scott (Jodi). He is also survived many nieces, nephews, and his brothers and sisters in law through his wife. Lyndon was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Marie Wormuth. He was also predeceased by his parents and his sister Donna Guthrie. Services will be scheduled at a later date. Donations in Lyndons memory may be sent to the Lake Como United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 104, Lake Como, PA, 18437 or to the Northern Wayne Library, 11 Library Rd., Lakewood, PA, 18439. Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
