Obituary

Marian A. Wormuth, 78, known as Ann or Annabelle, joined her Heavenly family peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2021. She was born in Margaretville, NY to Marion and Helen (Deck) Caswell. She attended Hancock Central School. Ann married Kenneth Wormuth and together they had three children, Wayne, James and Laura. Ann was well known for her love of people and especially her merry and infectious laugh. She was an avid card player, delighting in get-togethers with special friends to play pinochle. In her healthier days, she was a beast at the game of cornhole, often shaming us lesser players with her impressive skills. Her happiest moments were spending time or chatting on the phone with loved ones and shindigs with her beloved sisters and their children. She relished meals that were cooked by ANYONE else- Ken in particular, whom she said spoiled her with his cooking "and did the dishes too." She was a fantastic cook herself and is famous among family and friends for her macaroni salad and baked beans, fruit salad and holiday meals. Ann was an adoring mother and grandmother who loved her children and grandchildren deeply and was fiercely proud of their accomplishments. She was supportive of their endeavors and enjoyed hearing from and visiting with them. Ann was predeceased by parents Marion and Helen, brother Gene (Sandra) Caswell, son James, and grandson Samuel III. She is survived by her best friend and love-Ken, son Wayne (Kelly) Wormuth, daughter Laura (Sam) Rowe, grandchildren, Joshua Wormuth, Nathan (Echo) Wormuth, Wayne Wormuth/Chelsea Appley, Desari (Kyle) Maurer, Carmen Rowe/Stefan Krajcovic, Shelbi Rowe/Theodore Iramescu and devoted-best-friend-sisters, Carolyn (Rick) Williams, Juanita (Al) Johnson, Penny (Ed) Prentice and many beloved great grandchildren, very special nieces and nephews and best friends. She will be greatly missed. No services will be held and burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock, NY. Donations can be made in Anns memory to Helios Care, 297 River Street Service Rd., Suite 1, Oneonta, NY, 13820 or at www.helioscare.org Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
