Marie Wormuth, 65, of Poyntelle, PA, died on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Regional Hospital of Scranton, after a long illness. She was born on April 27, 1952 in Hancock, NY, the daughter of Archie and Doris (Fischer) Roney. Marie married Lyndon Wormuth on April 29, 1977. She loved to read and going to the Northern Wayne Library and in her younger years, she was an avid horseback rider. Marie also enjoyed meeting friends and enjoying coffee at Cheryls Diner every morning. Surviving are her husband, Lyndon, 2 sons, Lee and wife Joanne Wormuth, and Aaron and wife Megan Wormuth, 1 granddaughter, Amy and husband Patrick Quinlan, 3 grandsons, Daniel and wife Lindsey Partington and Chael and Connor Wormuth, and 2 great granddaughters, Natalie and Anna Quinlan. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Elaine and husband Jim Misner, Lillian Neild, and Maxine and husband Bill Powell, 1 brother, Harold and wife Joan Roney, and many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her parents and her brother in law, Kenneth Neild. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 10AM-12PM with a funeral service following at 12PM all at the Lake Como United Methodist Church, Lake Como, PA.
