Marjorie E. Wormuth, 96, of Walton, NY, died on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center, Lake Ariel, PA, where she had been a resident for the past 4 years. Marjorie was born on November 5, 1919, in Milanville, PA, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Conklin) Scherer. She married Ivan Wormuth on June 10, 1937 in Hancock, NY, and he predeceased her. Surviving are a daughter, Carol and husband Thomas Galley, 2 grandchildren, Kim and Cindy Galley, 3 siblings, Patricia Petersen, Victor and wife Joyce Scherer, and Dean and wife Thelma Scherer, 1 sister in law, Audrey Scherer, and several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy Wormuth. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock, NY.
