Matthew W. May, 50, of Hancock, NY, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 16, 2023. He was born on March 13, 1972 in Hancock, NY, the son of Charles and Irene (Werner) May.

Matt worked many years as a logger. He enjoyed fishing and was the Giants #1 fan. He also loved NASCAR. Matt will be dearly missed by his family.

Surviving are 4 children, Siara, Desiree, Corbin and Olivia May; 1 grandson, Grayson; 2 sisters, Colleen (Mike) Caiati, and Denise Igo (Kevin Carey); half sister, Angelica May; step sister, Holly Goff-Brucher (John); step brother, Justin Goff (Megan); many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and step mother, Angela May. He was predeceased by his father and mother, his step father, William (Buzzy) Goff, and his brother, Joseph May.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11AM in Partridge Island Cemetery, Fishs Eddy, NY.
