Patricia A. Smith, 64, of Equinunk, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on November 5, 1955 in Honesdale, PA, the daughter of Donald and Florence (Turner) Welles. Pat married Donald Smith on February 23, 1974 in the Equinunk Methodist Church. She loved to shop and cook and always made baked goods and salads for family gatherings. Pat also loved to take care of children and had many in her home over the years. She loved going to penny socials with her husband, Don. Surviving are her husband, Don, 4 children, Scott (Christina) Smith, Crystal Smith, Kimberly Smith, and Jason Smith, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Florence, 7 siblings, Carolyn Davies, Brenda Stafford, Gloria Hamby, Ron Welles, Robert Welles, Donna Young and Ginger Hoyniak, many nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Donald. A celebration of Pats life will be held at a later date to be announced.
