Obituary

Paul W. Hunt, 81, of Lake Como, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA, after a short illness. He was born on July 30, 1937 in Lake Como, PA, the son of Elmer J. Sr., and Merle (Quick) Hunt. He married Lillian Wildenstein on August 29, 1959 and she predeceased him on September 15, 1991. Paul was a lifelong farmer and logger. He was a member of the NRA, Tomar Mountain Gun Club, and Last Chance Hunting Club. Paul loved to hunt and tell stories of the past. He will be remembered by many for his contagious smile and laugh, his hard work ethic, his willingness to help others and his love of family. Surviving are two sons, Gary and Scott and wife Kim, his daughter-like niece Michelle and husband Kenny Weber, six siblings, Alice Conbeer, Martha Peck, Romona Harris and husband Red, Evelyn Thomas and husband Lawrence, and Elmer J. Jr, and wife, Sally, and several nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his sister, Lois Fitz, and brother in laws, Carl Conbeer, Jerry Howell, Clarence Fitz, and Ronald Peck. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 6-9PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock, NY. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11AM also at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow in Stockport Cemetery, Equinunk, PA. Memorial donations can be made in Pauls memory to the Northern Wayne Fire Co., 1633 Crosstown Hwy, Lakewood, PA, 18439, or to the Buckingham Baptist Church, P.O. Box 56, Starlight, PA, 18461.
