Obituary

Randy J. (Rooster) Gotthardt, 65 of Pleasant Mount, PA, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2022 after struggling for years with various health conditions. He was born in Hancock, NY to James Sr. & Luella Gotthardt. Following in the footsteps of his Dad, Randy enjoyed being outside working as a heavy equipment operator most of his life. He took pride in his work and it showed. He also worked in logging and truck driving. He lived life his way and always had a good time. He was a good man with a great sense of humor. He will be missed by many! One of Randys favorite activities was spending weekends with the guys at Zero Hunting Club in the Adirondacks. He was a die hard Buffalo Bills fan, the life of the party and lived life to the fullest, for as long as he could! Surviving is his best friend & loving wife of 29 years Becky (Mac Kinnon), they were inseperable and enjoyed their life together! Also surviving are his daughters Bethany (Jason) Case & Samantha (Sean) Gregory, granddaughter Abigail & grandson Carter. He is also survived by his sister Tina (Joseph) Niesluchowski, brothers Gary (Connie) Gotthardt, Shaun (Johni) Gotthardt, sisters in laws Dawn Gotthardt & Claire Gotthardt, brothers in law George (Nicole) Mac Kinnon, Christopher (Arlene) Mac Kinnon. In addition many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. Randy was pre-deceased by his parents, brothers James Jr. & William Gotthardt and nephew Eric Gotthardt. Also, his father & mother in law George & Helen Mac Kinnon, his sister in law and her husband Martha & Skip DeAngelis. May "Rooster" always be remembered for his fun loving sense of humor with a smile and a laugh. A Celebration of Life will be held in Randys honor at a later date. Those wishing to do so may make a donation to Forest City Ambulance in his honor. Forest City Area Ambulance, 345 Delaware Street, Forest City, Pennsylvania, 18421.
