Raymond Jason Miller, 35, unexpectedly passed away on October 23, 2024, in Whitney Point, New York. Born on September 23, 1989, in Smithtown, NY. Ray is the son of Gary and Sue Miller of Hancock, NY.
Ray was a loving father, spouse, son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his deep love for his family. Especially his sons. From a young age, Raymond was musically gifted, teaching himself to play multiple instruments, and later composing his own music. Throughout High School, he participated in Golf, Tennis, Bowling, and was a part of the band. Ray also played the Organ at St. Paul's church. He loved skateboarding. He held a Master's degree from Binghamton University, showcasing his intelligence and dedication to his studies. Raymond was also an avid gamer. Often participating in Nintendo 64 Super Smash Bros gaming tournaments, bringing his competitive spirit and joy to each event.
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Sue; his fiancé, Heather, and their four sons, Christopher, Jason, Leo, and Owen; his siblings, Shawn, Heather (Bobby), Tiffany, Zachary (Autumn), Shannon (Moses), Anthony, Jazzy (Paton), Rose (Davin), Jackson, Abby, Brendin, Richard, Leon, Earl, and LeeAnn; along with several nieces and nephews.
A mass will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 10:30 in his honor at St. Paul the Apostle Church. Followed by a celebration of life. In recognition of Raymond's love for his children, in lieu of flowers, donations to support his sons are much appreciated. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to NBT Bank, 11 East Main Street Hancock, NY 13783. Please make checks payable to "The Family of Ray Miller".
The Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel in Hancock, NY, is overseeing the arrangements. Raymond's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
