Raymond F. Miller, 67, of Lakewood, PA, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at home. He was born on August 15, 1950 in Carbondale, PA, the son of Raymond P. and Catherine (Carey) Miller. Ray served in the Vietnam Conflict from 1968-1971. He worked in the logging industry as a log scaler for Mallery Lumber, Cannonsville Lumber, and Andrews Forest Products. Ray retired after several years from SCI Waymart in October 2017 as a Corrections Officer. He was a true outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and shooting. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Theresa (McGraw), 3 sons, Edward Miller and Katya Daragan, of Washington, D.C., Ryan and Amanda Miller, of Montrose, PA, and Aiden Miller, of Lakewood, PA, and 3 granddaughters, Mya Jo Miller, Ava Rae Miller, and Rylee Jane Miller. He is also survived by 5 sisters, Mary Ann and Carole Miller, of Waymart, PA, Cathy Miller, of Stroudsburg, PA, Suzanne Rickard and husband Rob, of Waymart, PA, and Jackie Rickard and husband Tim, of Honesdale, PA, 1 brother, James and wife Rosemary Miller, of Honesdale, PA, 1 brother in law, Lester Hazen of Honesdale, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by a sister, Marilyn Hazen and his parents. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 4-7PM at Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 10AM at St. Julianas Roman Catholic Church, Rock Lake, PA. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
