Raymond R. "Ray" Wahl went home into the loving care of our Lord on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Delaware Valley Hospital with his loving son, Danny, by his side. Raymond was born March 21, 1944 to Edgar and Della (Dufton) Wahl in Jamaica, Queens, NY. Ray's family moved to Apex, NY, when he was little. He loved to hunt, enjoyed woodworking, hanging out with his buddies at the Do Drop Inn, and cooking. Ray married Inez Couse in 1964 and they had three children. They moved to Long Island where he worked as a plumber. Eventually, Ray moved back to the area where he met and married Frances Hogsett. They lived in Winterdale, PA and operated Gators Bar. Finally they relocated back to Apex where Ray homesteaded his mother's property and lived for the rest of his life. Raymond always had a guitar pick in his pocket, "Because you never know when somebody is going to have a guitar". Surviving are son, Danny and wife Carla Wahl, Daughter, Patti and husband Roger Widmann, and son, Kevin, and significant other, Gina, 6 grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Peter, Jessica, Marissa, Roger, and Kathryn, and great grandchild, Alex. He is also survived by 3 stepchildren, Kevin, Kim, and Kelly, 1 sister, Marilyn Dugon, 1 brother, Thomas Wahl, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 11-1 with a service following at 1 all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ray's memory to the Emory United Methodist Church, 105 E.
