She was raised in Rockaway Beach and as a child she spent her time beach combing and swimming at the beach. After graduation from Far Rockaway High School, Regina got a job at Western Union serving first as an operator, then supervisor, and finally as a secretary for management. Regina was also a member on the Hancock Rescue Squad for 10 years, a board member of the Hanford Mills Museum, a member of the Hancock Senior Citizens Club, and can be remembered for her involvement in the Shehawken Historical Association. In 2000 she was presented the Senior Citizen of the Year Award by the Delaware Co. Senior Council, an award that goes to a person that exemplifies the positive qualities of being an older citizen. Even though back pain slowed her down, it didn't prevent Regina from cross-country skiing, zip lining at 88 and playing badminton on her 90th birthday.Surviving are her cousin, Margaret H.
