Richard C. Barnklau, 77, of Starlight, PA, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale, PA, after an illness. He was born on August 29, 1940 in Montclair, NJ, the son of John J. and Irma (Wiederhold) Barnklau. Richard married Maria Bucher on May 28, 1960 in Queens, NY, and she predeceased him on April 5, 2014. They are now back "together forever". Richard was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1958-1961. He was a member of the Emory United Methodist Church in Hancock, NY. Surviving are 2 sons, Karl and Gary, 1 brother John Barnklau, and 1 brother in law Conrad Bucher. He was predeceased by his parents and his best friend, Al Falsetta. A graveside service will be held in the spring in Balls Eddy Cemetery, Starlight, PA.
