Richard Bryan (Rick, Dick) Thomas Sr., passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on May 18, 2017 after battling cancer. Rick was born on July 26, 1953 to Arnold and Leona Thomas in Cooks Falls, NY. Rick married Paula Moore on October 18, 1975.Rick is survived by his loving wife, Paula, daughter and son in law, Vicki and Joe Rubera, son, Richard Thomas Jr., grandchildren, Bryan Carson, Joey, Paula, Katie, and Emmi Rubera, Brandon, Brianna, Zach, and Richard Thomas III. Also surviving him are his sisters, Marilyn Johnson and Dawn (James) McDonald, sisters and brother in law, Dolly and Patrick Brown, Dot, Robin, Kim, and Beth Moore, Moira Nicholson (Tom Moore), and Cindy Corbett, several nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend, Maynard (Bo) Oralls. Rick was predeceased by his parents, and siblings, Mitchell, Norman, Alton, and Ernest Thomas, and Naomi Sliter. There will be a graveside service on Friday, May 26th, 2017, at 11AM in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock, followed by a memorial service and luncheon at the Firemens Clubrooms on Park St. in Hancock.
