Ricky D. Claycomb, 69, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2022. Preceded in death by his parents, Shimer, Sr. and Grace Claycomb, he is survived by his daughters, Aimee (Phillip) Robinson and Christine (Van) Collins, his grandsons, Joshua Claycomb and Andrew Robinson, his granddaughters, Kathleen and Sarah Collins, his sisters, Wanetta (Larry) Jenson and Beverly (Bill) Kruchas, his brother, Shimer, Jr. (Pat) Claycomb, and many nieces and nephews.
Ricky was born April 21, 1953 in Johnstown, PA. The youngest son of Shimer, Sr. and Grace, Ricky was a devoted son and loving brother. Known as "Pappy Ricky" to his granddaughters, he loved to tell stories and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He faithfully helped care for his parents and was happy to be a self-proclaimed Mamas Boy.
He was a logger and loved being outside, regardless of the weather. Ricky worked hard and played harder. He was a fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr., the Green Bay Packers, and great music. Always willing to help someone in need or cheer up a friend, Ricky lived life to the fullest with passion, humor, loyalty, and joy. He enthusiastically proclaimed his love for Jesus to all he knew and loved. He is finally home.
He requested that a formal service not be held. He will be laid to rest beside his parents at Stockport Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes may plant a tree in his honor.
