Robert J. Gorshack, 83, of Deposit, NY, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Valley View Nursing Home, Norwich, NY. He was born on June 14, 1940 in Hancock, NY, the son of John and Marian (Pendell) Gorshack.

Robert was a US Army Veteran. He worked for the Celotex Corporation for many years in Deposit eventually retiring from the plant after a medical procedure.  For many years Robert was an active member of the Hancock American Legion.

Surviving are a son, Jan and his wife Gina Gorshack; 2 grandsons, Jonathon and his wife Whitney Gorshack, Whitefield, NH and Nathan Gorshack, Troy, N.Y.;  a brother, Richard Gorshack; sister, Nancy Oralls; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert was predeceased by his sister, Judy Haeussler and brother Jack Gorshack.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on May 18th, 2024 at 11AM in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hancock, NY.
