Robert E. Jacobs, 82, of Starlight, PA, died on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Creekside Health and Rehab Center, Carbondale, PA. He was born on August 15, 1934 in Hiawatha, Scott Township, PA, the son of Edward M. and Viola F. (Eberlein) Jacobs. Bob married Joan Benedict on June 19, 1954. He was a truck driver for over 50 years and he loved his dogs.Surviving are his wife, Joan, 3 children, Blane and wife Cindy Jacobs, Brian and wife Dorothy Jacobs, and Darlene Johnson, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Donald and Fred Jacobs, and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by 1 brother, Wayne, and his great granddaughter, Andie Lynn Johnson. Bob's final request was for cremation and services will be held at a later date to be announced.
