On the morning of August 10, 2016, Robert William Milk, passed away in the Roscoe Community Nursing Home. He was 90 years-old at the time of his death.Bob was born in his grandparents house in Handsome Hollow, Town of Hancock, NY on April 25, 1926. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Marjorie Cameron Milk, and by his sister Kathleen Haight, and parents Laura and John William Milk. He is survived by his children Bob and Cindy Milk, Laura and Jack Medkeff, Jim and Terry Milk, and Libby and Pat Glarrow, as well as his eleven loving grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.He met and married Marjorie "Peg" Cameron in Niagara Falls Ontario in 1948, returning to the family farm for a short time before embarking on a career at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where he was executive Vice-President. They spent many years in Niagara Falls, NY and Akron, OH before retiring to the Family farm once again.Bob attended the one-room schoolhouse in Rock Valley, NY, and Long Eddy Highschool. He attended Cornell University for several years, and graduated in engineering from the University of Buffalo in 1957.Bob was an avid hunter and fly fisherman. His many colorful expressions and quotes will always be remembered, as will the great advice he shared with everyone. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends, as well as his adoring black Lab, "Susie". Bob greatly enjoyed hosting all of them in his home. No one ever left his house hungry or thirsty.The family has requested that any memorial donations go to the Rock Valley Schoolhouse in Long Eddy, NY.There will be a visitation held on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 5-7PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
