Robert V. Thorne, 58, of Harpursville, NY, died suddenly on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY. He was born on October 29, 1958 in Hancock, NY, the son of Robert and Romaine (Decker) Thorne. Bob married Deborah Krahwinkel on August 11, 1979. He loved his family and lived for his grandkids. Bob enjoyed BBQing, bluegrass concerts, and dirt racing. He had a big heart and would help anyone out. Surviving are his wife, Debbie, 2 sons, Robert III and wife Jenn, and Jason and wife Danielle, 5 grandchildren, Jason Thorne Jr., Kylee Lanfair, Jordan Thorne, Brandi Thorne, and Aaron Thorne. He is also survived by his mother, Romaine Crawford, 1 brother, Craig Thorne and wife Dorrie, 1 sister, Cathy Travis, 1 step sister, Pam Rice and husband Bob, his in laws, James and Louise Krahwinkel, 2 brothers in law, Bill Foster and Oliver Krahwinkel and wife Amber, 3 sister in laws, Dawn Kotsko, Darlene Thomas and husband Todd, and Dulcey Krahwinkel, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his father, his step father, James Crawford, sister, Colleen Foster, and a brother in law, Harold Travis. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 11AM-1PM followed by a funeral service at 1PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
