Obituary

Roberta May Allen 79, of Starlight Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2020. She was born on September 10, 1940 in Starlight, Pennsylvania. She is one of 12 children, the daughter of Edson Allen and ClaraBelle (Pobgee) Allen. She lived with her daughter, Lisa Hamilton and her family for 14 years in the San Francisco Bay Area where she helped raise her grandchildren and served the Lord with the gift of writing and encouragement. Roberta graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1958. She went on to become a stewardess and flew with Capitol Airlines. Mom enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, writing short stories, poems and writing countless letters of love, encouragement and shared her favorite jokes with family and friends. She loves her family very much and it was her prayer that we remain close, walk in forgiveness and follow Christ so that we can be reunited again one day in heaven. Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Hamilton, son in law, Christopher Hamilton, grandchildren Alexander, Brian, Michelle, Michael and Holly Hamilton. She is also survived by her brothers Edwin Allen and wife Edna Allen, Clair Allen, her sisters Velma Graham and husband Paul Graham and Audrey Turner and her husband Paul Turner and many extended family and friends. Roberta was welcomed home by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, her parents Edson and ClaraBelle Allen, baby sister Leila Julia Allen, brothers Garfield Allen, Norman Allen and wife Gail Allen and son, Norman Mark Allen, sisters Anna Smith and Virgil Smith, their daughter Marilyn Smith, Ethelyn Frey and Thomas Frey, Emily Hope and husband William Hope, Martha Overeem and husband Pete Overeem. She will be greatly missed by all who know her and love her. We will have a memorial for her in Starlight, Pennsylvania as soon as possible. Mom posted this verse before she passed. Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Donations are greatly appreciated for her memorial fund.
