Robin Joy (Ramburg) Arnold, 61, of Cooperstown , NY, was freed to heaven on Friday, October 31, 2014, with her family and loved ones by her side, at the Otsego Manor, Cooperstown, NY, after an extended illness. She was born on January 30, 1953 to Mr. and Mrs. William Ramburg (Joyce Hunt) of Hancock, NY. Growing up, she was full of life and vigor and loved spending her time as a cheerleader, active in class offices, KE Sorority, and band during her high school years. She graduated from Hancock Central School in 1971. After high school she followed her true passion to care for people and attended the Albany Medical Center School of Nursing in Albany, NY, where she graduated in 1975 as a Registered Nurse. Over the years her career took her to several different hospitals including Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY, A.O. Fox Hospital, Oneonta, NY, and Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, NY, as well as working at the State University of New York at Oneonta followed by one on one in personal home care services. Later in her career, she had her own bed and breakfast in Cooperstown, NY, where she continued to make people happy with a nice place to stay and a home cooked breakfast.Robin was married to Stephen Craig Arnold in 1977. When she wasn't helping and caring for others, her love for life was mostly revealed when she was in the kitchen baking and cooking, in her flower gardens, being outside tanning in the sun, hiking or skiing in the mountains, publishing her cookbook, and shopping. Robin also loved spending time with her dogs (Duchess, Abby, Molly, Maggie, and Lassie throughout the years), and with her family and friends.Surviving are her three daughters, Kirsten Arnold of Cooperstown NY; Katie (Arnold) Bidwell and her husband John Bidwell of Albany NY; and Kara Arnold of Cooperstown NY; her grandchild Joshua Bidwell; her sister Linda Ramburg; and several other family members including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and some very close friends. Robin was predeceased by her parents. There will be a visitation held on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 11-12 with a funeral service following at 12 all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
