Ronald Puchalski, 86, of Lakewood, PA, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021. He was a widower of his high school sweetheart and wife, Catherine (Kay) Coleman Puchalski, who passed in 2004. He was born in Throop, PA, to the late Chester and Alice Puchalski. He was a graduate of St. Paul Catholic High School and National Hardwood Lumber Association Inspector Training School, Memphis TN, earning a national certificate of inspection/hardwood grading. His lifetime employment was with the family business as co-owner/operator of Como Lumber Co, Lake Como, PA. Ron was very community minded always offering help to family, friends, and neighbors. Ron was an early member of the Northern Wayne Fire Company, rising to the title of Deputy Fire Chief. He was also an NWFC ambulance driver for decades. For several years he was a Preston Township auditor serving as an independent fiscal representative for the township. He was an active member of St Julianas Catholic parish for over 60 years. He was an avid outdoorsmen who loved to fish on local lakes and enjoyed hunting season. Over the years he enjoyed his hunting trips to several destinations with this best friend Carlo Celli. Ron is survived by his children; Catherine (Joseph) Adamitis, Mary Ann (Thomas) Pasternak, David (Mary) Puchalski, and Lisa (Bryan) Wurtz, his brother, Paul (Shirley) Puchalski and sister, Mary Alice (Bernard) Warholic, 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 11AM at St Julianas Catholic Church, 117 Rock Lake Drive, Pleasant Mount, PA. Friends may call prior to the Mass between 10 and 11 at the church.
