Sally J. Burrows, 69, of Starlight, PA, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on March 16, 1947 in Hale Eddy, NY, the daughter of Holbert and Charlotte (Geer) Burrows. Sally loved to gamble and always enjoyed trips to the casino. She also enjoyed just mowing her lawn or sitting on her porch watching the world around her. Surviving are 1 daughter, who was her life, Romona and significant other, Mike Ferris, 1 grandson, who also was a huge part of her life, Jacob Ferris, 4 sisters, Phoebe Avery, Patricia Gotthardt, Letha Harris, and Fern Tessora, 1 brother, Carl Burrows, her brother in law, Ed Gately, special friends, Marlene Letosky, Aunt Doris McDonald, Evie Bullis, Rose Hudy, and Sandy Bailey, and many nieces and nephews. Sally was predeceased by 4 siblings, Elsie, Yvonne, Chucky, and Jimmy. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 11-1 with a memorial service following at 1PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
