Salvatore Tomaiolo, 87, of Hancock, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Roscoe Nursing Home, Roscoe. He was born on January 1, 1926 in Brooklyn, the son of Vincent and Frances Tomaiolo. Sal married Grace DiMartino on February 26, 1949 in Brooklyn. He was an engineer in commercial buildings in Manhattan. Sal was a member of the American Legion and of St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Hancock. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Grace, several nieces and nephews, and dear friend Ken Crane. He was predeceased by all of his siblings, most recently his sister Grace Rugolo.Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 4-6PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:30AM at St. Paul's Church, Hancock. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hancock.
