Sandra Bartholomew, 86, of Kelsey, NY, died on Friday, May 14, 2021 at home after a short illness. She was born on December 22, 1934 in Endicott, NY, the daughter of William and Leona (Clark) Cable. Sandra married Paul W. Bartholomew Sr. on January 4, 1985 in Kelsey. Sandra lived most of her adult life in the Hancock/Kelsey area. She was a lifelong member of the Emory United Methodist Church and would help out in the kitchen whenever needed. She spent her earlier years helping her first husband, Wilbur I. Biedekapp operate his business, Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, while raising their 3 children. Sandra was devoted to taking care of her family, well into their adult years. Wherever they needed her, she would be there. She enjoyed attending numerous horse shows with her daughter Brenda. She loved being around animals of any kind. In her recent years she could be found helping out in the Perfectly Priced Shop. Surviving are her devoted husband, Paul Sr., 2 sons, Mark (Donna) Biedekapp, and Paul W. Jr (Dawn) Bartholomew, 1 daughter, Debra Bartholomew, 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (Edward) Cayton, Ray Williamson, Jason Biedekapp (fiance Cameron Dudley), Steven Bartholomew, Lauren (Brad) Harper, 10 great grandchildren, special friend, Cynthia Biedekapp, and her constant companion, her dog Reese. Sandra was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda Biedekapp Thurston and her husband Russell, son, Clark Biedekapp, grandson, Joshua Biedekapp, her parents, including her step father, Milton Scherer, and life long friend, Mary Neer. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 11AM-1PM with a funeral service following at 1PM all to be held at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Burial will follow in St. Pauls Cemetery, Hancock. **Due to continued COVID-19 restrictions, capacity limits are still being followed as well as facial coverings and social distancing.
