Shari E. Giordano, 60, of Hancock, NY, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Callicoon, NY, after a long illness. She was born on November 25, 1955 in Hancock, NY, the daughter of Larry and Phyllis J. (Dailey) Haynes.Shari was married to Anthony Giordano in 1981. She was a member of the Hancock Fire Department for 34 yrs and worked as a secretary for Dr. Paul D. Salzberg in the Hancock, NY office, for 8 years. Shari enjoyed cooking and baking, reading, her cats, flowers, crocheting, and traveling.Surviving are her husband, Tony, 5 children, Jasmyn, Jalea, Jane, Jennifer, and James Giordano, 7 grandchildren, Alana Bishop, Chanel Wignall, Adriana Schwartz, and Ivy, Vincent, Nicholas and Sophia Giordano. She is also survived by her sister, Vikki VanAtta, 3 sister in laws, Theresa Cruz, Marilyn Paccheco, and Rose Giordano and several nieces and nephews. Shari was predeceased by her parents, her in laws, Mario and Marie Giordano, a brother in law, Steve Giordano, and her niece, Makayla Giordano.Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016, from 11-2 with a funeral service following at 2 all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock. There will be a luncheon held at the Fireman's Clubrooms in Hancock, after the committal service.
