Sharon D. English, 83, of Fishs Eddy, NY, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 after an illness. She was born on August 30, 1940 in Hancock, NY, the daughter of Theodore and Virginia (Grant) Darling. Sharon married Harvey D. English Jr. on December 21, 1957 at the Hancock Baptist Church.

Sharon was an animal lover and especially loved horses. She enjoyed playing horseshoes, playing the piano, and listening to music. Sharon was an avid reader and she enjoyed taking trips to the lake cottage. She was a member of the Emory United Methodist Church, the HCS Alumni Association, and she worked a number of years in the George Elwood Law Office. She was loved dearly by her family and she will be missed.

Surviving are Sharon's husband, Harvey D. Jr.; 4 children: Harvey III, Darlene (Mark) Grewell, Michael (Jane) English, and Jennifer (Jason) Hunt; 12 grandchildren: Dustin, Eva, Shelby, Taylor, Nicholas, Kenneth, Samantha, Michael Jr., Vanessa, Ethan, Ethan, and Wesley; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Ted Darling; sister, Betty Jean Worzel; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was predeceased by brother in law, Ed Worzel and 2 sister in laws, Penny Darling and Sonya Hunter.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 11AM-1PM with a funeral service following at 1PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock, NY.
