Vergil K. Faigle, Jr., 87, a lifelong resident of Starlight, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. He was born on June 9th, 1934, the son of Vergil Faigle Sr. and Marian (Sands) Faigle. Vergil worked the family farm as did most young men throughout his school years. He graduated from Hancock Central School then began working at Bisbee Lumber and later was an employee at the Hancock National Bank where he continued to work until he purchased the family farm, where he lived the rest of his life. He was an avid horseman and did much of the farm work with horses, even in later years. He was also a leader in 4-H and attended many trail rides through out his life, receiving a certificate for a 100 mile ride. He also loved to square dance and polka and enjoyed sharing good times with friends. Vergil fostered many young men in his life trying to bestow lifes values to each of them. Vergil was also proud to have received an award from the Wayne County Board of Elections for 50 consecutive years of voting. Surviving are 2 sisters, Alaine Mosher, Starlight, PA, and Janet Woodmansee, Lake Como, PA, 2 sister in laws, Rita Faigle of Windsor, NY, and Carol Faigle of Starlight, PA, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Justin, Graydon, and Ronald, 2 infant sisters, Beverly and Charmayne, and also a special friend, Norma Worobey. There will be 1 hour for visitation on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 11AM-12PM with a funeral service following at 12PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
