Vikki Vanatta (Giordano), 64, from Hancock NY, passed away on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, after an arduous battle with cancer. Vikki the daughter of Phyllis Haynes was born on August 04, 1957. Vikki influenced many lives on her journey in life. She was a free spirit, a warm caring and loving person. She was known as mom to many throughout the Hancock area. When any children visited her household, she always made them feel like they were her kids as well no matter if they were local families or friends from the city. As a cheerleader coach for Hail Eddy Flag football or Hancock Central School or as a teacher assistant for the Fishs Eddy Head Start program, Vikkis passion was always for "her kids" young and old, biological or not. She would always sacrifice to ensure others were taken care of. Her second chapter in life saw Vikki become part owner of Good Times Bar and Grill with Greg Vanatta in Lake Como Pa. However even though it may have been a new chapter the passion was still the same, take care of others. Either by hosting or supporting charity events or by simply providing a hug to all her adopted children throughout the years. Vikkis message was always the same, be kind to one another and support one another. Vikki is predeceased by her mom Phyllis Haynes, previous husband, Stephen Giordano, sister Shari Giordano, brother in-law, Anthony Giordano, and her granddaughter MaKayla Giordano. Vikki is survived by her current husband Greg Vanatta and her three children: Joshua Giordano (Megan Giordano), Joseph Giordano and Ivy Giordano (Ryan Illing) Grandchildren: Amber Giordano, Zoey Giordano, Caleb Giordano, Savanna Giordano, Isabella Giordano, Nickolas Giordano, and Gage Illing. Sister in-laws Roseanne "Cookie" Giordano, Theresa Cruz, and Marilyn Pacheco (Oscar Pacheco). Her nieces and nephews James Giordano, Jennifer Giordano, Jasmyn Giordano (Eric Bishop), Jalea Drake (Warren Drake) and Janee Giordano (Zach Wignall) and Crystal Cruz. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 from 1pm-4pm at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at the convenience of Vikkis family.
