Walter Arlington Hendershot Jr., 59, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2021. Walt was born on October 29, 1962, in Goshen, New York. Walt graduated from Port Jervis HS then joined the Marine Corps which he was extremely proud of. In the Marines Walt traveled extensively, going to 5 of the 7 continents. He worked as a plumbing and heating technician for many years. Walt belonged to the East Branch Fire Department as both Fire Police and Commissioner. When Walt wasnt helping others he could be found riding Harleys, listening to AC/DC and being with his family. Walt is predeceased by his parents Walter Hendershot Sr. (Pat), and Shirley Cooper. Walt is survived by his wife of 12 years, Micka, their children Eli and Jada; his second wife, Amy, and their daughter Haley (Kyle Manarky); and his first wife, Lisa, and their son Walter (Debra Jo); grandchildren Shianne, Bailey, Nathan, Skylar, Violet Hendershot, Gunnar and Jack Manarky; siblings Tina Hendershot, Paul (Natalie) and Vickie (Rick Cudney); and many other well loved family members. Services will be held at the East Branch Fire Hall at 29 Bridge Street, East Branch, New York 13756 on December 11, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. followed by a luncheon. Wahoo!
