Bill was born June 20, 1932 in Chatham, N.J. the youngest son of 10 siblings to Fred and Pauline Ellicks. The family moved to a farm in Pleasant Mount when he was 14 and then to Preston Township. Married to Lela A. Maudsley with whom they had 2 children. Bill is survived by his children, William R. Jr., spouse Barbara J., and daughter Marilee J. Bill worked various jobs locally including farm work, carpentry, state highway, and his favorite was custodian at Preston School; he loved all the children and they loved Mr. Greenbean. He is a member of the Northern Wayne Christian fellowship Church. A member of Northern Wayne Fire Company near its inception and remained active until no longer able to serve in an active capacity. Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Mount Hermon #472, for over 50 years and was a past master of the lodge. Bill passed June 27, 2019 after a battle with cancer.
