William S. Goff, 73, of Starlight, PA, died peacefully at home on Friday, December 3, 2021. He was born on July 11, 1948 in Oneida, NY, the son of Charles (Stew) and Evelyn (DeFrees) Goff.
Buzzy, as he was known to everyone, worked at the Hancock Telephone Company for a bazillion years. He enjoyed adventurous Rving trips across the country with his wife Irene and brother-in-law Ed. From the day he was born he loved to spend summer weekends on Oneida Lake playing (epic waterski landings), relaxing, and "Im going fishing". Buzzy liked to golf and in his later years, after retirement, he spent time in his wood shop refinishing furniture, making birdhouses and whirly gigs, among other things. He was married to Irene Werner for 33 years and she predeceased him on July 11, 2021.
Surviving are 2 children, Holly Goff-Brucher (John) and Justin (Megan) Goff; 2 grandchildren, Baily Baker and Gavin Goff; 1 great granddaughter, Amelia; 3 stepchildren: Denise (Kevin) Igo, Colleen (Mike) Caiati, and Matthew May, and their families; sister, Pamela Goff (Mark); and brother in law, Ed Werner. Buzzy was predeceased by his parents and his step son, Joseph May.
A graveside service will be held in Partridge Island Cemetery, Fishs Eddy, NY, on June 10th at 11AM.
