William R. Gotthardt, 59, of Hancock, died on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the hunting camp in the Adirondacks. William was born on October 3, 1953 in Hancock, the son of James and Luella (Hallstead) Gotthardt. Family, friends, and hunting were his passions. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Claire, 3 children, Daniel and wife Miranda, Jared, Sarah and husband Kyle, 4 grandchildren, Trinity, Taylor, Peyton and Evan.William is survived by brothers, Gary (Connie), Randy (Becky), Shaun (Karen), sister Tina (Joseph), sister-in-law Dawn Gotthardt, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. William is predeceased by his parents, James and Luella, and his brother James, Jr. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 2-5 PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zero Hunting Club or the Deposit Flying Club.
